SAN DIEGO – Oct. 14, 2016 – Celebrating hands-on doers who prove no challenge is too tough to solve with the right set of tools, WD-40 Company is recognizing Sean Boardman as the winner of the WD-40® Specialist® Top Challenges Countdown Contest.
The Top Challenges Countdown Contest was designed to honor professionals and enthusiasts who use WD-40 Specialist products to help tackle diverse projects. Boardman will receive $10,000 for his video submission showing how each of the WD-40 Specialist products can help professionals and enthusiasts get any job done right.
“WD-40 Specialist products offer specific solutions for a variety of maintenance needs,” said Tim Lesmeister, vice president of marketing at WD-40 Company. “Our fans are endlessly creative and their submissions shared how WD-40 Specialist helps them tackle challenges both at home and on the job.”
The contest ran from Dec. 2015 to Aug. 2016 and required fans to submit an original photo or video featuring the WD-40 Specialist products in action. In Boardman’s video entry, he impersonates several actors and references classic movies while showing how he uses multiple WD-40 Specialist products. Rust Release Penetrant Spray helps free rusted parts on his shop tools, Industrial-Strength Degreaser removes grease from his metal garage door track, and Water Resistant Silicone Lubricant keeps his shovel free from dirt and snow.
