Now the Limited-Edition King of the Hill x WD-40 Brand Collector’s Can created in collaboration with Disney Entertainment, is officially here, bringing together two American icons with a shared appreciation for getting the Job Done Right®. To celebrate the launch, we're giving fans the opportunity to join in on the fun through our King of the Hill Sweepstakes, where we choose one winner every week for twelve weeks.
Fans who spot the limited-edition can at participating Home Depot stores can snap a selfie, upload it online, and earn a chance to win their very own Hank Hill Starter Kit, packed with collectible merchandise inspired by everyone's favorite propane-loving legend.
For another chance to win, Hulu subscribers had the opportunity to enter a Hulu Perks sweepstakes where one lucky Grand Prize winner scored the ultimate backyard upgrade, complete with a gift card for premium outdoor essentials Hank Hill himself would be proud of, while 100 First Prize winners received a Hank Hill Starter Kit.
Gator Sighting in San Diego
Long-time WD-40 Brand partner Gator (@jmg8tor) came all the way to San Diego from Tallahassee for an exclusive meet and greet at a local Home Depot. Fans who picked up the King of the Hill Collector's Can got a free 3oz backup can, just like Hank. Gator met fans face-to-face, took photos, and even signed a few cans on the spot to make them true collectibles
Cars & Coffee Craze
Before Comic-Con weekend took over San Diego, the local automotive community got together at Cars & Coffee hosted by WD-40 Brand and Throtl at Camber & Caster on July 18.
Hundreds of enthusiasts, builders, collectors and weekend DIYers stopped by to check out the limited-edition can, grab some WD-40 Brand gear, and learn more about the King of the Hill can and Hank Hill Starter Kit sweepstakes. From classic muscle cars and lifted trucks to meticulously built imports, it was the perfect setting to connect with the people who rely on WD-40 Brand every day.
Taking Over San Diego Comic-Con
As Comic-Con transformed downtown San Diego, we brought the King of the Hill x WD-40® Brand collaboration to the Gaslamp. Our team walked through the crowds and surprised fans at the Animayhem backyard activation outside of Comic-Con, bringing along a group of Hank Hills alongside our WD-40 Can mascot to lean into the magic of what makes Comic-Con, Comic-Con.
Fans stopped for photos, struck up conversations about Hank Hill's famous \"backup can,\" and helped make it one of the internet's favorite crossover moments.

The first trick to keeping your grass healthy and preventing weeds is to mow your lawn in straight, even rows. GCI Turf Services has a great video on how to achieve straight lines. When you mow your lawn, alternate directions each week to ensure grass continues to grow straight. The Spruce suggests you do two alternating laps around any obstacle in your yard, like a tree or flowerbed.
If you want to get fancy with your lawn mowing, try creating a professional pattern by altering your technique. Create straight, wave, checkerboard or circle patterns by switching the direction of your lawn mower. For inspiration and guidance on how to get started, check out these tips from Yardcare.
When mowing your lawn, it’s crucial to pay attention to the height of each blade of grass. If your grass is cut too short, it’s more vulnerable to weeds and damage from the sun. Lawnsmith recommends that you remove no more than one-third of the grass blade with each mowing. The best blade height is set at two inches from the ground.
Believe it or not, you should not throw away any of the grass clippings after mowing. Leaving the clippings on your lawn is an excellent way to replenish natural nutrients like moisture, resulting in healthier turf. According to Spring Green Yard Care Services, by leaving the clippings on your lawn, you are naturally recycling 15 percent of your store-bought fertilizer.
To improve your lawn’s color and growth, water your grass once or twice every week. According to Consumer Reports, the morning is the best time for you to water the grass because there is less wind and less sunlight, allowing for the grass to soak up the most moisture. Regularly watering your grass in the morning also discourages pest and disease infestation because the lawn dries throughout the remainder of the day. Always keep an eye on your lawn and water if grass blades are looking extra dry.
